Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. confidentiality We provide a confidential service to all our patients, including under 16’s. This means that you can tell others about this visit, but we will not. As a patient you do have certain rights to see information held about you. Please ask for details.

We may also release information about you to a third party, but only other Health Care Professionals and only if they need any information in connection with your treatment. Information to other parties will only be released with your written permission.

Please note our administrative staff have access to your medical records. They are fully trained about their duty of confidentiality.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE OR ABUSE

DOCTORS, STAFF AND PERSONS PRESENT ON THE PRACTICE PREMISES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CARE FOR OTHERS WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING ATTACKED OR ABUSED.

Violent or abusive patients will be reported to the police and removed from the practice list. These patients will be treated at a designated centre provided by the Primary Care Support Agency.
